A video was posted earlier this week of a Black man getting arrested for walking in the street in Edina, Minnesota. Watch the video here. The arresting officer believed that the man was in violation of traffic laws even after the man told him the only reason he was walking in the street was because the sidewalk was under construction. Edina Police Dept. made a statement about the video that has been making its way around the internet.
People took to social media and most of them still don’t understand why the man was being detained.
