This picture of baby Dexter has gone viral, not just because he’s a cute little baby, but because he was born gripping the Mirena IUD birth control device that was inserted in Lucy at an earlier date. At first, it appears that the IUD failed or little Dexter decided to crash his mother’s party. Not really. Lucy Hellein told First Coast News that her doctor believes she was already few weeks pregnant when she had the device implanted and that it was best not to tamper with it until the baby was born. After the baby was born, the IUD was found and a nurse put it in baby Dexter’s hand and a friend took the photo and shred it on Facebook. Read more about her story here.
